Women, Civic Courage, and the Work of Repair in Democracy
An Invitation from Our Friends at MWEG
We’re grateful to be in community with organizations that are working, in their own ways, to strengthen our public life.
Our friends at Mormon Women for Ethical Government (MWEG) are hosting their 9th Annual Spring Conference on March 21, 2026 at Utah Valley University.
This year’s theme invites participants to reflect on a powerful truth: throughout our nation’s history, women have played a critical role in urging America to live up to its highest values and promises. That work is not finished.
As we approach the 250th anniversary of the United States, this conference asks:
What does civic courage look like now?
How do we meet the challenges of this moment with integrity and conviction?
How can we imagine — and help build — a more just and hopeful future?
The gathering will bring together women committed to ethical leadership, constitutional principles, and thoughtful engagement in public life. Whether you’re deeply involved in civic work or simply feeling the pull to be more engaged, this event offers space for reflection, learning, and connection.
If you’re in or near Utah on March 21, we encourage you to learn more and consider attending.

At Waymakers, we believe repair matters not only in personal relationships, but in communities and civic culture as well. We’re always encouraged to see organizations creating spaces where principled dialogue and ethical commitment can grow.
If this resonates with you, we hope you’ll take a look.
